- [Instructor] Alright, let's have a bit…of a road refresher.…Head over to bookmark number one, called road refresher,…and click on the road that you see right in front of you.…Now if you've worked with previous versions…of InfraWorks before,…you may be familiar with the evolution of the roads…since the product was launched.…And this is just a recap of the three types…of roads available and what you can do with them.…So this road that we have highlighted here…that we've selected, is what we call a planning road.…
Now this is a lightweight road…that uses spline geometry.…And the way that planning roads are created…is usually through the data source import wizard.…So you can see here that you've got lots…and lots of data types that you can import,…and if we look under our roads folder,…we have Portland streets over here.…This is an ESRI shape file which was imported…into the model, and those center lines…were basically grown out into 3-D representations of roads.…
