- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to use the profile optimization tool to optimize the profile of a component road. So let's open up Profile Optimization SQL Lite under desktop exercise files, six row design, there it is. We're going to optimize the main east-west component road here on our map. This one right here. And under analyzed, under transportation, choose profile optimization. So the first thing we're going to do is say add the design speed 40 miles an hour, as it is inside the road stack. So we'll leave it as that. We'll choose road, we're not doing bridge and tunnels, and we're going to basically stick on the road. And under Advanced Settings, we're going to choose for profile constraints. You can say maximum grade, I may set that to 6% grade. That's a maximum grade. We can tweak the minimum PVI settings. I could try for a hundred but because it's 40 miles an hour, it may not let me.
