- [Lynda] This is a story about a family. CAD and GIS were born about the same time but like many siblings, fought like crazy for the first 20 years of their lives, even when mom and dad tried to get them to get along. Then just as they'd reached an uneasy truce about how to best use joint assets, it became even more complicated and a new cousin turned up and it all kicked off again. Now CAD, GIS and BIM were battling for supremacy when it came to data and projects. However, just like a normal family, CAD, BIM and GIS have matured and realized that they're stronger together and it's nice to have someone to have a nap with. I'm Lynda Sharkey and I'd love for you to join me on this journey to see how we can combine traditionally disparate data and processes using Esri ArcGIS online and Autodesk InfraWorks to streamline data management for infrastructure design projects, to derive more value from diverse datasets and better communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Are you ready? Let's go.
