- [Instructor] Now that we have traffic counts in each of the directions for our intersection. One, two, three, four. What we need to do is estimate how much of the traffic makes turns at the intersection of the routes. So in order to figure out how many cars or vehicles coming from zone one go through the intersection or turn right or turn left. Now, if you have turn count data from the site then you should definitely use that. But if not, we can estimate the turn counts. And this is what this spreadsheet is going to show you. What we've done here is use a method that assumes that the number of vehicles turning onto another road. So from number one to number four or from number one to number three or from number two to number four. So the number of vehicles turning onto another road is proportional to the ratio of the traffic volume leaving intersection on that road to the volume on all the roads. Now I know that…
