Earthwork quantities

- [Instructor] Another way in which you can analyze…and optimize your road designs in InfraWorks is by using…the quantities functionality to…figure out earthwork quantities and material quantities.…So if we head over to bookmark 11, called Quantities,…we have…a site here with a supermarket or a big-box store,…something equally terrifying like that.…And what we'll do here is we'll design a new road…and figure out what the quantities…for that particular road is.…

But before we do that,…let's just have a look at some of the things that we can see…when we have different types of roads.…So I have a road selected here.…It's Southeast 22nd Avenue.…As you can see, it is a design road.…There's nothing down here.…Quantities only work on…component roads.…So if you select component road, you will have…two little widgets down at the bottom over here.…The first is the Cut and Fill, the earthwork quantities.…

The second is the Material Quantities.…And each little tool contains three elements.…So the first would be the hub controls.…
