Creating ponds, part 1
- [Narrator] With InfraWorks designers can create water surface areas such as ponds, and lakes, and rivers in two different methods. One, they can import GIS data that represents the boundary of those water areas. Or, you can sketch out the water surface areas with the water area feature tool within InfraWorks. So for the first tab, we're actually going to import GIS data that we have already. We're going to open our data sources panel. From the pull-down we're going to select SDF file. We're going to browse to our desktop InfraWorks Data Set Site Planning folder, GIS DATA folder, and then look for the proposed commercial pond SDF file, here it is. I'm going to hit open. I'm going to need to configure this, so I'm going to double-click, and then from the pull-down I'm going to select water areas. And then for the style, I'm going to hit the edit button, and then select a default water. Now here you can type in a water elevation…
