Creating a model from scratch
- To get started in InfraWorks, you must first create a model. But what if you don't have access to model builder to do that or you haven't downloaded your model from the Cloud from InfraWorks 360? You literally have to start from scratch. Let's take a look at how you do that. I'll begin on the start page and to create a new model I'll simply click the word New in the top left corner of the start page. One of the first decisions I need to make is where do I wanna store this model, and keep in mind that I'm just not storing a file, I'm storing a file and a supporting folder which is full of literally thousands of other files. For our purposes here, I'm going to choose my Desktop folder and then the Exercise Folder within that. I'll click Select Folder and that becomes the destination of the files that I'm about to create.
