Creating land areas
- [Instructor] Next, we're going to draw a brand new land area into our model. So under Exercise Files, 5 Grading, pick on the LandAreas.sqlite model. Once it's open, zoom into the parking lot in the middle. In the southwest corner, we're going to draw a new Land Area. So under Create, Environment dropdown, choose Land Area. This is different than a Coverage, in that Land Areas actually allow you to modify its grading, specially the materials and the edges. So let's go ahead and click Land Area, we're going to use Permeable Material. So, when you're first pick the Select Draw Style, you get a long list of Draw Styles. To quickly find the Permeable one, we can type P-E-R-M, it will filter them, we're going to choose the Interlocked Material Parking Area. Simply draw a simple polygon in the middle of that area, double-click to finish, and click Escape twice. Now, we have this Land Area that's on the surface. We're…
