Creating a feature theme

- [Instructor] Next we're going to create a zoning and a land use theme, using shapefiles. First we're going to open up our model, under Exercise Files, three, Theming Data, THEMING.sqlite. Let's go to the directory, where we're storing the files. So this is under Exercise Files, Three, Theming Data, Shape. Let's drag and drop the zoning.shp file into our current model. The first thing we need to change in the data source configuration is the type. This is a coverage, so hit Coverage Areas. Next, we're going to map the column in the shape file to a particular value in the common area of the data source configuration. In this case, we're going to change the name to the actual zoning. So the name of this feature will actually be the zoning designation. Check the geolocation, it's Texas, North Central, feet. And the Source says, convert closed polylines to polygons, the Draping Options say Drape. So hit Close and…
