Join Eric Chappell for an in-depth discussion in this video Creating and editing buildings, part of Learning Infraworks.
- Nearly every project that you work on in InfraWorks…will include one or more buildings.…Let's explore how quick and easy it is…to add buildings to your model…and to edit them to suit your needs.…I've open the chapter three Hotel Lynda model…and I've selected the buildings proposal.…I'll also choose the hotel plan bookmark.…I'm just going to jump right in and create a brand new…building that's 500 feet by 150 feet…and this is going to be the new hotel that we're proposing…that overlooks the beautiful shoreline in the ocean.…
To do this I'll expand the InfraWorks toolbar,…click the pencil icon…and then click the buildings icon.…InfraWorks wants me to choose a style for my building…so I'll leave that up to you to scroll down…through the different styles and choose one…that you'd like to try.…Next all we do is draw the shape of the building,…the footprint.…We're going to draw a fairly basic shape…that's just going to be a long rectangle,…it's 500 by 150.…I'll start by picking a point near the corner…of the parking lot and moving my cursor parallel…
