- [Instructor] Creating a preliminary conceptual 3D model of a commercial site in InfraWorks is a simple process by simply importing 3D site data into your model from other software such as AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D. So for this exercise I've actually exported the files that represent the pavement line work, the building line work, curbing and drive aisles from an AutoCAD drawing as a SDF file. I'm going to bring that data into the 3D model here to represent our commercial site. So we're going to open up the data sources panel, we're going to select SDF as our file and browse to our desktop. InfraWorks data set, site planning folder, GIS data and select propose commercial boundary first. So, boundary. We're going to create our outer boundary line first.
