- [Instructor] For years, I've encouraged my students and my colleagues to document their process. Let me show you one of the easiest ways to do that with the steps recorder. The steps recorder is built into the Windows PC environment and it will capture screen shots of every point and click you make throughout the process. It allows us to document each step. Let's take a look. I'll start by pressing the Windows key on my keyboard. I'll type the word steps. Now again, depending on which version of Windows you have, you may see Steps Recorder or you may see Record Steps to Reproduce a Problem. I'll go ahead and click on the Steps Recorder. Because the steps recorder will capture screen shots, I'm going to go ahead and move this. Just hold on that title bar. Move it to the middle of my screen there. It's the simplest toolbar. It says start record. A stop record and an add comment button. I'll click start record. I'll go double-click on exercise files. I'll double-click on chapter one…
