- [Instructor] Through the years, when we needed to create screenshots we spent a lot of time touching the print screen key and then a lot more time cropping to get just what we want. Let me show you how we can use Microsoft Office screenshots. Screenshots in Microsoft Office have been available since Office 2010. They're available in the programs of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. They're really helpful to help build end user training. The screenshot will show all your available windows so that you can just touch them and put them into your document. It also allows you to do specific areas of the screen through the screen clipping tool. Let's take a look. I'll go ahead and close my steps recorder document. We want to document our original start file so let's go ahead and open up Word. I'll press the Windows key and type word. And then I can select it from my start menu.
