Using checkboxes
The check box control is used when you want to provide your user with two different choices: yes or no, true and false, 0 or 1, in or out, checked or unchecked. Check box controls are really easy to place and are used for this type of field, which is called a Boolean field. We have two different places that we need to use a check box in our form right now. One is the question in the news group of our data sources, is this item news? By that we mean does it belong on the front page of the Internet or the intranet site for that day or for a few days? Does it make it to the news page? So let's go ahead and place this check box really quickly. Here is our Check Box control. So I'm going to enter the label, and I might have to provide some kind of a user tip here. If I drag isnews and drop it, you'll find that it actually places a check box because again, this field here has the data type Boolean.
