Join David Rivers for an in-depth discussion in this video Populating controls from a data source, part of InfoPath 2007 Essential Training.
When it comes to connecting to a data source from your InfoPath form template,…the most popular option is typically a SharePoint Form Library. In this lesson…we are going to explore SharePoint integration and if you are going to follow…along with me you are going to need a couple of things.…You will need access to the Exercise Files if you want to have the same form I…am working with and you will also need a SharePoint site setup and ready to go.…And this form is partially designed; you will notice there is a Submit button…down below. Q: When trying to open a file in InfoPath 2007, I get an error that says to open the form in the location it was published to. It also says: “Forms that require the domain permission level contain features that access information on a network, such as data connections, linked images, and code.”
What is causing the error, and how can the file be opened?
A: This is a known issue with InfoPath. Instead of double-clicking on the file, right-click on the file and select Design. That will allow you to open the files.
