In today's world, designers are expected to test, validate, and ship experiences across multiple device types. In this video, Drew Bridewell demonstrates the power of toggling from different devices in both the preview panel and the inspector panel so you can quickly test your designs across devices along the way.
- [Instructor] Now that work in a world…where we have to design for multiple devices…and multiple screen ratios, it's important…to be able to toggle those in a very quick way.…So in today's world, we are designing…for multiple screen sizes and different ratios…on ongoing basis. Responsive is the thing.…So in this example, I'm going to show you…how easy it is to toggle two different device types…and to change your artboards to different…device sizes in a matter of a click.…So let's do that.…
So I'm going to select my blue artboard here,…and I'm going up to the preview panel.…And again, that's command+P if you want…a quick keyboard shortcut.…So right now, I designed this template as a iPhone 8,…but what if you wanted to change that to an iPhone X.…You're in a presentation, and somebody's like…"Well, hey Drew, let's check out the iPhone X."…So to do that, you just need to come up…to the toggle and select that device title.…Now, what it's going to do is change the aspect ratio…and this is why pinning and setting up your file…
