When it comes to layer management inside of Studio, it's pivotal that you don’t overlook it. In this video, Drew Bridewell demonstrates why it's so important to start practicing good layer management inside of InVision Studio.
- [Instructor] The more complicated your files get,…the more you'll need to manage your layers.…So in this video, I'm gonna show you a quick example…of how to manage your layers.…So let's do that.…So the first thing I wanna call out…is over in the left panel,…you'll see all my layers that I have,…I have my pages, and my navigation elements.…So because I named these ahead of time,…it's easier for me to know where things are.…So in this example, I have a navigation.…Inside this navigation, I have a pink dot,…I have a mask for a logotype,…which is the logotype name, and then I have a header.…
Now, in this layer, I'm gonna scroll down a little bit,…I have this group at the very top of my artboard.…I do this because later down the road when I wanna pin…this navigation on scroll effect, it's always in the top.…This way, I don't have to redrag…and drop this every time I re-create this artboard.…So it makes things a lot easier for me.…Another thing that you should know…is when I double-click into a name to rename it,…
