- And finally for now, Fast Company. Fast Company is intense, restless, high energy, covers the world of high tech and modern business, totally type A personality. That's it's vibe. Open to any spread. This feature on Starbucks looks edgy. Images wall to wall, that's intense, but one's cut in half, jarring, demanding, bold outline is similarly demanding. Heavy hard edges generally are, but the headline inside is small and condensed and it's like why? That's just to keep you jittery. Horizontal band, pale green, exists why? Maybe to set a theme. Turn the page and now the outline's green. Giant drop cap starts the story, which is set in all cap, super condensed type, same as the headline and letter spaced. The letters are spread out. Pretty hard to read. It forces you, it demands an effort. It's sort of like, "If we're going to be hyper, you are too." Three big portraits centered in the layout like a target.
