The content.opf

- The content.opf holds all the information about the ebook package. Every ebook has one, whether with mobile or fixed layout. It provides all the information needed to render the book properly, and it lists all the HTML files, the images, the fonts, and it dictates the play order of the pages, and it also includes all the technical and book-specific details about a particular project. We'll look at a content.opf from the top. First off, at the very top, the first few lines are in every ebook you're going to see. They don't change, there's nothing to do with these lines. The next few lines are Kindle-specific lines, and we'll get into how they each work when we talk more about creating an OPF in a later movie. The next few lines, the dc-metadata lines indicate the author, the title, all the information about this particular project, and that's the end of the metadata. The next section is the manifest.
