The advantages of sheetfed printing

- Sheet-fed printing offers some advantages. It's very high quality. It offers a wide variety of stock, including some very exotic papers and synthetics. And there's a wide range of stock sizes, 30 inches by 40 inches, up to 120 inches by 160 inches. And they're also extensive ink options, one color per press for a single color job, up to 12 colors per press and even more. A sheet-fed press, as the name implies, feeds sheets of paper into the press. Each blank sheet of paper is picked up by small vacuum feet. And then here you can see the vacuum feet picking up the paper and slow motion, lifting the paper and moving it forward toward the inlet of the press. Banks of rollers keep the paper moving toward the inlet of the press until grippers can grasp the edge of the sheet and then pull it into the press for printing.
