Working with the rulers

- In this movie, we'll take a look at InDesign's rulers, which help you measure things inside of your document. Now notice that by default we have two rulers on screen. One is a horizontal ruler that appears at the top of the window and then we have a vertical ruler that appears on the left-hand side. If at any time you want to hide those rulers, then you go up to the View menu and you choose Hide Rulers, which has a keyboard shortcut of ctrl + r or cmd + r on the Mac, the r being for rulers. And you can see that that hides both of the rulers inside of the window. If you want to bring them back, return to the View menu and choose the command at that same position which now reads Show Rulers and again has that keyboard shortcut of ctrl + r or cmd + r on the Mac. Now notice that currently we're seeing these tick marks and because I'm zoomed out from the document I'm seeing numbers at every six picas, and recall that six picas make up an inch and so everywhere where I see a number is…
