- [Instructor] For the InDesign ACA exam, you should know how to use the controls in the pages panel. So let's take a look at how they work. I'll start by creating a fresh new document, and I'll make it a print document, letter size, and let's make it four pages long, with facing pages, starting at page one, one column with half inch margins, and click Create. In the pages panel I now have four document pages, and above those in the top part of the panel are the master pages. Every InDesign document page is based on a master page, and I can see which master my document pages are based on by the prefix on each page thumbnail. So these are all based on the A Master, and I can edit the A Master by double clicking it. I'll zoom out a little bit, and add a frame with a fill color inside the margins. And I'll just use this red swatch. I'll duplicate that frame on the right master by taking the selection tool, selecting it, and holding Option, or Alt, and dragging you over to the right. And…
