Why build in InDesign?

- In this video, we'll consider why someone would want to create HTML using InDesign. InDesign's original purpose was to create print documents. Fortunately for us, InDesign has adopted several new features over the past few years that make it really useful for HTML, including easy ways to add interactivity and animation without coding. So, here are a few of the easy-to-use features. First, it's really easy to create the layout visually. As I mentioned, it's also really easy to add interactivity and you don't have to do any coding, whatsoever. Animation is also really easy to use, point and click and there it is. InDesign has unparalleled style and master page control, so you can create reusable content that moves from page to page, and styles that can be edited in one place and the changes ripple through, and this translates really well to HTML. InDesign also has the ability to embed HTML widgets inside your pages. I'll talk more about these features in later chapters. There are two…
