Join Tony Harmer for an in-depth discussion in this video What can Sigil do?, part of Creating Ebooks for the Kindle.
…In this movie, we are going to take a quick look at the Sigil…application, and we are also going to create…our EPUB file to use in subsequent exercises.…I've already got an HTML file opened here.…I did that by going to the File menu, choosing Open,…and then navigating out to the file that I was after.…So, Sigil's opened this up and believe it…or not, it's already created the EPUB for us.…It used the HTML file here and built a…structure around it including anything that was already in there.…
If I open up the, starts in the CSS just there and the…images folder has brought in the two images associated with the file, like so.…All I need to do to turn this into an EPUB proper, you'll see at…the moment it still says .htm on the top there, is to save the file.…And I can do that by clicking this icon just here,…and then navigating to the location I want to save this in.…So now I'll name it, A Study in Scarlet.…
Like so.…And from the format drop down our files…of type of course are Windows and choose EPUB.…And you see that's now changed to a studyinscarlet.epub at the top there.…
