Using advanced strokes

Do you have a stroke or a path in your document that you want to fine tune? No problem. While the Control panel lets you adjust the width and style of a stroke, for the ultimate in control, you'll need the Stroke panel. You can find the Stroke panel over in the dock. If it's not hiding over there, go to the Window menu and choose Stroke. In this document from my Exercise folder, I need to add a stroke that I'm going to be adjusting. So I'll press the P key to jump to the Pen Tool, and then I'll simply click out a stroke. I'm going to click here, Shift+click over here, Shift+click down here, notice that I'm shift+clicking instead of just clicking, because I want to make sure that I don't have any diagonal lines. I want them all to be exactly above or next to each other. I'd like this point to be exactly underneath the point above it, so I'm looking for the cursor to change to a little Pen Tool with a white arrow next to it. When that white arrow is there, it means it's going to align…
