- [Instructor] There's no question that tables are incredibly powerful elements when building documents in InDesign. They can, however, be a bit cumbersome to work with. Let's take a look at a few simple efficiencies that can save you time. The area that I'm going to focus on here is on the borders of a table, so I've navigated to page 24 of this document where we have a table that I want to apply some various formatting to. So, the first thing I'm going to do here is I'm going to go ahead and highlight the entire table, so I'm just going to kind of click in the upper left-hand corner with my type tool and that's going to allow me to select the entire table. And the area that I'm focusing on right now is this area right here. So, this is basically telling us which areas, or which cell edges of the table, I'm going to format.
