Setting up standalone columns

- One of the themes of this course is the idea of breaking out of the spreadsheet mode when thinking about InDesign tables. You can use their unique features to achieve many different design effects. Here's an example of a pricing plan that uses a table. It does look like a table, albeit a pretty nice one. But it almost look more though like separate text frames standing on their own. There are a couple of tricks here that I want to share with you. First of all, I'll switch from Preview to Normal mode so we can take a look at this table. This is actually a table made up of seven columns. If we take a look at our Table Setup dialog, you'll see that there are four rows, one, two, three, four, and seven columns. Now, we could have created this with very wide strokes here between these cells, but instead we used a column. There are a couple of advantages to this.
