Setting up and applying table styles
- Table styles are a great way to speed up formatting of your InDesign tables especially if you work with lots of tables in your documents. Let's take a look at how they work. I've already opened the Table and Cell Styles panel here. Let's take a look at the Basic Table style. I'm gonna right mouse click and open the dialogue. It looks like a lot of the other style dialogues in InDesign. We have various formatting options that are also available on the Table menu here on the left. One thing that we don't have, that we do have on the Table menu, is that we don't have the ability to set which rows are header rows or footer rows. We're gonna have to do that manually. But these other settings look pretty familiar. One thing that is different about Table Style Options that I'd like to point out is that they can include cell styles. That kind of makes sense because if you think about it, there's not an awful lot you can do at the table level when it comes to formatting. I mean, you can set…
