Set fill and stroke colors

- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll practice a very basic skill for the InDesign ACA Exam and that's setting the fill and stroke colors for text and frames in your layout. In our file, we have a sidebar at the bottom of this page and we need to set it apart visually from the body text. One way to do that is to add stroke and fill colors to the frame. First, I'll select it with the selection tool and there are lots of places where I can change the stroke and fill. Right now, I'm using the Essentials Classic Workspace so the control panel is visible. In here, I can add a stroke and I'll make it black. I can also set the stroke width. I'll make it five points. And for the stroke style, I'll stick with solid. Notice how the popup menu for the stroke color showed me my swatch colors to choose from to get a slider for applying a tint of the swatch so I can make it 50% black.
