Seek perfection: Checking spelling, grammar, repetition, and more

- [Instructor] So, here's where the rubber meets the road. Your resume has to be perfect. Not almost perfect, completely perfect. By that I mean every word, every phrase, every grammatical construction. Even every bit of punctuation should be perfect. Just because you're creative it doesn't mean that written perfection isn't important. Remember that when a recruiter sees an error, no matter how tiny, it sends a message that you have not cared enough to pay attention to the details. An experienced hiring manager can spot mistakes a mile away. First and foremost, spell-check, spell-check, spell-check. I'm saying that three times because I see so many spelling errors on the many resumes that come my way. This is an easy fix, so don't ignore this important step. Also, proofread, proofread, proofread, and ask at least two other people whose knowledge you respect, to proofread for you.
