- [Instructor] Regular expressions are a powerful means to make edits to the book's entire contents with a few lines of code in an ebook. And Oxygen excels at running these while allowing you to take baby steps before you do too much damage. RegEx is a short form way to refer to using characters to search for patterns in a search and replace function. If you've ever used InDesign's GREP feature then you already know a little bit about RegEx. First things first, let's have a look at using Oxygen's global search and replace. So with this book open, this is a book that's a fresh export from InDesign and needs lots of editing. I'm going to highlight the OEBPS folder and then control click or right click and scroll down to find and replace in files.
