Posting HTML to the web

- The most direct way to share your HTML is to post it to the Web. And that's what we'll cover in this video. Content is typically and most easily posted to the Web using an FTP application. FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. An FTP application lets you transfer files from your local system to a remote server. In this example, we're gonna use FileZilla, because it's a free cross-platform FTP application. You can download it from filezilla-project.org. You'll also need a Web address, known as a domain, and a corresponding remote server to host your files. You gain access to a remote server by purchasing space from a Web-hosting company. In many cases, a free domain name comes with a hosting account. For this example, I'm gonna use my ajarproductions.com domain. With FileZilla installed, I'm gonna walk through some of the steps to upload content to a remote server.
