- [Voiceover] Now let's say that you've created some text in a word processor such as Microsoft Word, or exported that text from another application. Why then you can turn around and place that text into InDesign as well as flow the text into multiple columns and pages. Now I'm going to start things off by showing you the manual approach, but I'll also share with you a few automated tips and tricks as well. So I'm going to start by going to the file menu choosing new and then choosing document, Or you can press that shortcut Ctrl+N or Command+N on the Mac. Now I'm gonna switch from default to the one-on-one preset that I created way back in Chapter One. As you can see here that calls for eight pages. We have a width of 48 picas. A height of 58 picas six points. We've got a couple of columns and we have some different margins as well, and I'm working with facing pages. At this point I'll go ahead and click OK to create a new untitled document. Now before I place my text which I'll do…
