- [Instructor] In this movie, The Place command is what you'll use most of the time to bring images into your InDesign files and in our exercise file, let's add an image of some caramel being poured over here to this page of recipes. I'll choose File > Place and navigate to the Links folder inside the exercise files and then find the image Caramel Place. Notice in the Place dialog box, Another more convenient way to select this is to hold the shift key while clicking Open. In the Options for a Photoshop file, we have three tabs. One for applying a clipping path, one for assigning a color profile to change the image's appearance in the layout and one for managing layers in the image file. Notice that this one has two layers. One with a silhouetted version of the caramel and another with a white background. I can change the visibility of these layers the visibility settings from the Photoshop file.
