- [Instructor] In the past I have twisted myself into pretzels to get InDesign to export a page list for me. Once upon a time, my anchor to the running heads at the page break deleted any text other than the folio, and then grepped the resulting HTML into the correct markup. PageStaker is the first part of a newer version of that process. It is an InDesign script like any other. You put the script folder right into your InDesign's scripts folder so that you can get to it from within InDesign. Once it's activated, it will tick for a minute or two, while it places a chunk of conditional text at the location of your page break. As indicated by an orange caret. Lets have a quick look at what that looks like. Here's my scripts folder, it's opened in InDesign, you plop the whole folder of the PageStaker script into the scripts folder and then you come over here and just double click PageStaker. It takes a second to run, not very long, but when it's done you'll see a little orange doohickey…
