Overview
- [Instructor] Before we begin, an overview of the project. This is a six page magazine feature article. It is about Cape Town, South Africa. The main article is about 1400 words in length and it also has supporting captions and a supporting sidebar. There are numerous photographs, as you can see. These are all taken from a stock photography site. They're all in the exercises files folder. This is not a beginning InDesign course. This is intended for beginner to intermediate InDesign users. If you are a beginner though, you'll probably want to supplement this with information from the InDesign Essential Training course, but I will be going over such fundamental techniques as creating and applying paragraph styles, and character styles, and object styles. We'll also see how we can setup our master pages spread with page numbers. We'll also be seeing how we can setup a document grid so that we can organize our content, and use this in combination with a baseline grid so that we can align our type. Having had an overview, let's now get started.
