The Notes panel
- [Voiceover] InDesign's Notes feature allows you to add non-printing notes at specific points in the text. The Notes panel is part of the editorial panels group. Earlier on I included that as part of my editorial workspace. But if you don't see the Notes panel, this is where you will find it. The notes are only visible in the story editor. In the layout, in normal view mode, all you see is a note marker indicating the position of the note. I happen to know that in this document on page five there is a note. I'll press Command or Control J and 5, and jump to page five. This is what a note marker looks like. If I select the frame and hover over the note marker, a tall tip will pop up with the note, the author, and the creation date and time. Let's take a look at this in the story editor. I'll press Command or Control Y, or, from the Edit menu, choose Edit in Story Editor. That's what the note looks like. I can collapse it or expand it.
