Navigating and selecting tables

- If you've ever used Microsoft Excel, you'll find that navigating around an InDesign table is pretty much the same. With the type tool selected, I've clicked in this cell here. I'm going to just press the tab key and move from cell to cell. The content of the cell is selected, in this case, the text. And as I press the tab key, I move along the cells in the table. When I come to a graphics frame, the content of that cell is selected, which in this case, is the graphics frame. Press the tab key again and I move through the table. If I hold down the shift key and press the tab key, I move backwards. Now, in this case, I have the content of the cell selected to select the cell itself, the easiest way to select it is with the escape key. Now as I tab through, I move from cell to cell with the entire cell selected. And even when I get to a graphic frame, the cell containing the graphics frame is selected. And again, I can hold the shift key and press tab to move backwards. To select other…
