Multi-File Place

There are several little shortcuts you can use when you're placing multiple files inside InDesign. Let's go ahead and bring up our Place command. That's Command+D or Ctrl+D and in our Files folder here, we are going go ahead and choose these four images. Just click on the first one, hold down the Shift key, click on the next one. So those four graphic images there. But you can also select more than just graphic images. You can actually select text files along with the image files. I am going to hold down the Command key or Ctrl on Windows and add that to my selection. So, now I've got four images and a text file. I'll go ahead and click Open.

That's going to load my cursor with those images. It'll take a second to do so and then it gives you a number, telling you how many files you have in your loaded cursor. You can use your Arrow keys to go to the next file in the gun or the Place cursor here and see if that's the one you actually want to place. When you get ...
