Modify frames

- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll see how to modify frames in InDesign. In our file, we have one frame containing a placed image and with it selected with the selection tool, you can apply transformations using the control panel, properties panel, transform panel, or the transform commands in the object menu. And there are also transformation tools in the toolbar, like free transform, rotate, scale, and sheer. And those are useful when you just want to eyeball a transformation. The panels are better to use when you want to apply a precise, numerical transformation. In the control panel, we first have this very important control for setting the reference point. All the numerical values you see in the panel when the object is selected are relative to this reference point. So for example, when I have my item selected and the reference point is set to the top left, I see the x and y coordinates at the top left of what I have selected.
