Introduction to editing EPUBs
- [Laura] Welcome to Editing Ebooks. In this course, we're going to go through the various parts of an Ebook to learn how to edit them. Many Ebook creation tools create markup and code that needs a little nudging and cleaning up before it is final. In this course, I will show you how to do that editing, how to check your work, and what it takes to level up your Ebook content. We will go through how to edit HTML and CSS those two markup languages that are the prism through which content is interpreted, formatted and composed. I'll highlight the components of the code that are unique to Ebooks like their navigation documents. I will offer tips on how to edit Ebooks in addition to how to make sure your Ebook will make it through the various Ebook retailers ingestion processes. Hi, I'm Laura Brady. I'm an experienced editor and Ebook developer who has been making Ebooks since the Kindle was introduced in 2007. I love making Ebooks making the markup as clean and functional as possible. I'm excited to share what I know with you. Let's dig in.
