- [Voiceover] Hi, I'm Nigel French. Welcome to InDesign CC EPUB Typography. Standards of typography have been low in the early years of EPUB, and designers have been cautioned not to expect creative control. But with more typefaces being designed for screen and with the capabilities of e-readers improving and InDesign's EPUB-related feature set expanding, that's changing. In this course, we'll look at how to make informed typographic choices and how to use the full potential of InDesign CC to create EPUBs with good typography.
We'll look at what's currently possible and where compromises still need to be made. While I'll concentrate mainly on reflowable EPUBs just because it's they that present the most challenges, I'll also mention typographic issues that are specific to creating fixed layout EPUBs. So let's get started.
