How to use the exercise files

- [Instructor] Since this is a fundamentals course you don't need to know anything about InDesign's features for building interactivity before you start, but you should have a basic grasp on how to use InDesign. This means you should know your way around the interface and the controls in the InDesign document window, the menus, and the panels. You should also know how to create and save documents, how to place graphic files and text files, and arrange them on the page to compose a layout. And it's also very important that you know how to format text with paragraph and character styles. Basically, if you can lay out a page with style, text and images, and then print it, you're ready for this course. If you need some more basic instruction to get to that level of understanding, then check out David Blatner's InDesign Essential Training video series.
