How are page sizes, liquid layouts, and alternate layouts involved?

- In this video, we'll look at page sizing, liquid layout, and alternate layouts. Alternate layouts inside of InDesign let you create different-sized layouts for different devices. Now, to what extent can we use those different layouts for HTML? The short answer is that you have to pick one. If you export an entire document to HTML with any of the methods covered in this course, and that document has multiple layouts, you'll get all of the content from all of the layouts in your one HTML document. Why is this? Well, alternate layouts are a behind-the-scenes magic trick that InDesign plays. In reality, all of the layouts are simply pages in a single InDesign document. So how do you pick a single layout to export? You wanna follow along in the exercise files. I'm in Chapter 8, 08_03, and I'm gonna open up the alt_layout file in the start folder.
