- [Instructor] As you probably know, Adobe updates InDesign periodically throughout the year. I'm going to be regularly updating this title, too, so that we stay up-to-date as much as possible. For example, the version of InDesign that came out in November of 2016 is called the 2017 version of InDesign CC. Then, the second release will be called 2017.1, and then 2017.2, and so on. Now, you can see if there are any new versions available by using Adobe's Creative Cloud app, or here in InDesign head up to the Help menu and choose Updates.
Now, whenever Adobe releases a new feature that I need to talk about or a movie has to be updated with some new information, you'll see it marked in the table of contents with its version number. If the changes are so small that it doesn't really effect what I'm teaching, I might not call out the difference. Your version of InDesign may look very slightly different than mine. If that happens, you don't have to worry about it. Also, I should point out that when you open the files from the exercise folder, you'll probably see some of them appear with the word converted in the Title bar.
That's up here. If you see that, it just indicates that you've opened a file in a slightly newer version than the one I saved it in. That's not a problem, and you can keep working with the file exactly the same way I do in the movie.
