- [Instructor] Some final notes on image descriptions. We have reached a tipping point of sorts in terms of accessibility in the world. Most social media platforms, for example, ask users explicitly to provide an image description of some sort. Raising simple awareness of the pressing need for image descriptions is evidence that the digital media world is heading in the right direction. There are some very good guidelines about how to describe the various types of images out there. For example, the Diagram Center has very explicit guidelines on how to describe artwork, scientific sketches, bar graphs, map, the entire spectrum of image types. This URL is in your resources so you don't need to hurry up and write it down or anything like that. This is an awesome website and worth bookmarking if image descriptions are part of what you have to do. The WebAIM website is also excellent in all of its breadth.
