Formatting lists

- In this video, I'll show you how to format lists in InDesign, so that they export to HTML properly. If you wanna follow along I'm in the exercise files in Chapter 5, 05_03. In the start folder, I'm just gonna open up the lists.idml file. I'm gonna go ahead and go up to File, and choose Save As. I'm gonna name this file lists.indd, and save it in the end folder. Now, I could artificially create a list, for instance, like a number list, by placing my text cursor at the beginning of the list items, and type a 1. space, I could go to the next item, and type 2. space, but that's not actually a list, and if I exported that to HTML, I'd see the numbers and the periods and spaces, but it wouldn't actually be a list. So I'm gonna undo that, then I'll show you what it takes to make it a list. So I have these pre-created paragraph styles, if you don't see them, go up to the Type menu, and choose Paragraph Styles.
