Join Kevin Callahan for an in-depth discussion in this video Exporting text as XHTML, part of Creating Fixed-Layout Ebooks for the Kindle.
- With the images exported as JPEGs,…it's time to export the text as HTML.…So first, what we're going to do,…if you remember in the last video…when we got rid of the text layer…so that we could export the images,…this time we're going to turn off the art layer…and scroll through a little bit to make sure…that there's no art in there.…And you'll notice that that type on a path is gone…from here because that was exported…from the art layer.…And this is a very straightforward procedure,…so let's get to it.…You come to file, export.…
And instead of JPEG, we want HTML.…Now we're going to HTML instead of EPUB reflowable…or EPUB fixed layout, because we don't want the entire…EPUB package right now, we just want the HTML.…We just want the text with all the styles attached to it…that we did previously.…We just want all of that in an HTML file that we can…then copy and paste from one file into the template file.…So, we're only doing an HTML export right now.…So let's find a place to put that.…
We got another output folder.…
