Exercise files

- [Instructor] If you're following along with me to create the annual report, you'll find the files in the Exercise Files folder, and each step is numbered sequentially. All of these files, or most of them, contain images that are in the links folder. I've done everything I can to make sure that those links are not going to be broken, but it can still happen, and if it does, here's what you need to do. If you open up a document and see this warning dialog, then come to your links panel, choose one of the missing links as indicated by the question mark in the red circle, come and click on the relink icon, and then you just need to navigate to wherever your exercise files folder is, and the links folder inside that, and then just find that particular file. We have this option here, search for missing links in this folder. So if all of the others are in the same folder, which they are, then they too will be relinked. I'm recording this course using InDesign 2020, which at the time of recording is the most current version. If you're working with a pre-creative cloud version of InDesign, CS6, you will still be able to follow along, but you will need to use the IDML files. I have backed out or back saved all of the documents as InDesign Markup language files, which InDesign CS6 can read. There will be a few things that I'll be doing that you won't have the option to do, or at least not in the way that I do them. You may be able to find workaround, but for the most part, you should be able to follow along, and if you get stuck, there is the Q & A section in the LinkedIn Learning interface.
