Embedding HTML: DPS, EPUB, and elsewhere

- In this video I'll show you that not only is HTML useful in and of itself but it can also be included inside other formats and it can even be nested inside of other HTML. And we're going to cover a couple basic ways to include HTML in your InDesign document and we'll first examine what I call the paste method. The paste method is best used with content that is self-contained and designed to be embedded. There are many examples of embeddable HTML on the web, YouTube videos, Twitter feeds, social sharing buttons, and let's check out a Google map. So to embed this Google map I have on screen, I'm just going to go down to the bottom right to the gear icon, and click and select share or embed map. I'll click the embed map tab, select the embed code, and copy it and I'm going to switch over to InDesign, I'll create a new document by going to file, choosing new document, and I'll choose digital publishing as the intent and then I'm just going to go up to edit and choose paste, and I'll let…
